"Write your own feed configs" gets 404 - page not found

I love the idea of this, but without instructions on how to write a custom feed config with an explanation of the variables, keys, and values I don't know how much I'll be able to functionally use it. Is there by chance a backup or an analagous copy of those instructions elsewhere?
